In honor of the National Day for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two Spirit people, our junior high Social Studies class did a project on writing about the teachings or knowledge in their family that has been passed on matrilineally by the women in their family.
Racheal Cheecham, who is in grade 9, shared the teachings and knowledge that was passed on by the women in her family. Racheal also shared this powerful photo for MMIWG2S+ awareness with her family in Anzac. Thank you so much for sharing, Racheal!
